Thanks to a few friendly reminders, I am actually updating Jackson's blog.

He sat up last week on his own

He slept through my entire 30th birthday, his gift to me

He loves the sights and sounds of downtown and the street performers in the Pike Place Market, and I also have a goal for him to see at least one tree everyday.

Jackson's first month

Apologies for the radio silence everyone! Jackson turned one month last Friday and we are officially coming up for air and posting some pictures.

We're not sure if staring at him counts as parenthood, but that is how we have spent the majority of his first weeks...

we love his face...

his hands...

his feet...

and his frog legs...

we love to play with him...

(although we have discovered he is still a little young to fly!)

and dress him up...

and take him on walks...

all the way to the sculpture park!
We have cultural experiences together...

All of this FUN FUN FUN,

leaves us exhausted...

even Jackson, sometimes...

(we can confirm that he was actually asleep here...it does happen, sometimes!)

Luckily, he is very charming when he is awake...

Thank you everyone for all of the calls, emails, food, visits, and patience in waiting for this blog to be updated. This has been a wild and wonderful month!

Jackson Jeremiah Hatch was born on Friday, February 23rd at Swedish Hospital in Seattle. He weighs 7 pounds 8 ounces and is 20 inches long. He is healthy and beautiful and here are some photos of his big day! We can't wait for you to meet him.
